The American Dream....not my dream.

What is with the American dream? I mean settling down with a nice house, three to five kids, 9-5 jobs, white picket fence, monotonous routine? Seriously? I mean I get that it's nice to have a reliable job and some work ethic. Believe me, I've met people that don't have that part of it and that's not good either. But for the settling part. The everything-is-okay-on-the-outside-to-the-public attitude. The plastic smiles. The perfect hair, makeup, and manicure just to leave the house? The birthing of baby after baby after baby. STOP!

The predictable. The boring. Where is the adventure in that? I don't understand how that is the dream for some people. And yet it is. Some people want to be continuously pregnant month after month after month populating the earth with their yearlings (I know its a horse okay). I don't understand this. I don't understand giving up your womb....no, your body for so many YEARS at a time. So strange. Don't they know? Haven't they seen the demotivational picture online? It's not a clown car. Let's not see how many will pop out. Please stop. We don't want anymore.

Wow, I thought I was going to write about the American dream but apparently I have aggression against pregnant women tonight. Weird since I've been one. Sometimes I just don't understand why people keep having kids. Seriously, there should be a standard.

I guess those women would write back and wonder why I would want to ride hundreds of miles on a carbon seat post. I gain sheer pleasure of riding my bike for hundreds of miles. They gain sheer pleasure of gaining (and sometimes losing) 60 lbs every year. I get it.

On a side note, is there anyone out there who listens to Ashlee Simpson and actually likes her music? Weird.
