I'm packing.
This is quite the event for me meaning I have to wash every item of clothing that I have so that it will be available for me as an option to put into my suitcase. I have been known to wash even bedding, bathroom linens, and the blanket that I keep in my car. I'm not sure why I wash all of these things. It just seems like the thing to do.
The other challenge in my packing for this trip is trying to get a jar of Vegenaise (fake mayonnaise) 2200 miles away on an airplane through treacherous conditions (such as being thrown off of luggage trucks, kicked, pushed, pulled, shoved whatever else goes on at the airport) without the glass jar breaking and spilling all over the inside of my suitcase. Don't worry, I'm going to use a Zip Lock.
The good news is that in spring quarter last year I took mechanical kinesiology in which we had to build a small, and by small I mean smaller than a Kleenex box, contraption to place an egg in from which we would drop from the second floor of the physical education building to see if the egg would survive. For full credit (3 points) your egg had to make it without a single crack on it. For partial credit the egg could have a few cracks, but without any fluid escaping from the egg. For no credit...well, I'm sure you can figure this out. I spent some time figuring out how to package up my egg. I was excited. I was uncertain of what was going to happen. The TA dropped my egg. I ran down the stairs to retrieve it to find....a gooey yellow mess.
I think I'm going to try and go for full credit this time with the Vegenaise. I have more at risk this time. Second chances are always nice. When I get to the given destination with the jar still intact, I'm going to take a picture and send it to my mechanical kinesiology teacher informing her that I am capable of getting full credit for the lab.
If only I really did have a second chance. I'll never get those three points back.
