The end of the year usually seems fairly uneventful to me. New Years is just another day, another day that most people are hungover on. Another day that we get off work. Another day to do the same stuff that we do on regular days. I don't usually take a look back to reflect on what has happened in my life during the past year. This year, I think I will.
1. Februaryish. One 5K run in the freezing rain. T-shirt had a dinosaur on it. What??
2. Twenty hours a week running, biking, swimming from January through June.
3. June. One Ironman triathlon. 140.6 miles of glorious exhilaration.
4. June, July, August. Three sprint triathlons placing 1st, 3rd, and 2nd.
5. One 184 mile running relay down the Washington coast with 12 of my closest friends and TomTom (at least for 24 hours they were my closest friends).
6. August. One half-Iron triathlon in 90 degree weather.
7. September. I met my boyfriend for the first time in 10 years face to face in the baggage claim in Houston.
8. October. One marathon with a good looking boy by my side all the way.
9. October...again, the weekend after the marathon. One last minute half-marathon. Another ugly T-shirt.
10. November. My first Mountain biking experience. I like purple.
11. December. I'm engaged. =D
It's been a good year. What did you do this year?
