Body Glide (and other life lessons)

Body Glide- A Non-greasy, No mess, No petroleum, stands up to water and sweat, maximum strength, hypoallergenic, longer lasting substance to supposedly reduce incidences of chaffing. It also comes with sunscreen in it. The question has been asked, why do you need sunscreen in the areas that chafe? Think about it. It's a bit strange. (Also, why is a chaffing dish called a chaffing dish? Where did this name come from? Can someone please answer this question? It's quite a disgusting name for a food warmer.)

Sport Beans-Tasty little Jelly Belly jelly beans with electrolytes added. Mostly, they just taste good. I eat them in my car.

Perpetuem-The preferred liquid nutrition for any long-distance endurance race or activity. Tastes a bit like potato water with a splash of orange. Not so great on a hot day.

Easy Laces-The essential for a smooth transition in triathlon. They come in all sorts of colors. For instance, I have dark purple to go with my bright yellow racing shoes. I let my daughter pick the colors for my exercise accessories. I have blue tires on my bike. It's not always important to match.

Newton Running Shoes-The best shoe ever made. Lightweight, airy, comfortable. I've run an ironman, half-ironman, marathon, half marathon, three sprint tris, and one 182 mile running relay (not to mention the training time inbetween) in them and have never had a blister or missing toenail. They are great. Paula Newby Fraser wears them. So do I.

Just a few things the boys at the running store might not tell you. ;=)
