I don't know whether I'm coming or going. I haven't blogged, myspaced or flickr'd in quite some time. I'm delinquent, gone missing, MIA. I'm unsure. Wait a minute, I don't flickr to start with. Hmmm....well anyway. I wish I were blogging more...but I'm not. I can't seem to get my feet under me and I don't see that getting any better in the next 8 to 10 weeks with the looming graduation, ironman, and wedding all happening in three weeks. It should keep me busy. The good news is that in eight-ish weeks my calloused and recovering feet will be up, lounging in a hot tub, in some undisclosed place looking out at the beach. I think I'll take a few days off then before I finish hauling all of my belongings down to the south.
Today consisted of 1 scraped knee which lead to many tears and talks about training wheels (no, these are not for me). I think with a little work we can be out of the training wheels by the time we permanently move south. Shoot, when I was a kid they threw us on the bike, gave it a big shove, and yelled, "Pedal! Pedal!" If you fall and get scraped, sit on the curb crying for an unknown period of time until a sympathetic neighbor comes out to help you back on your bike. That is how I became as fantastic as I am today on the bike. Thanks mom and dad. :) I was wondering today how little road bikes come now. I see that they make a race-able road bike for kids under four feet. That's exciting. Someone might have a very expensive birthday present next year. I'd better start saving. At my most recent visit to the store that trigirl82 describes something to the effect of spending way too much money at, I saw that they have a new and improved kids section of tri and biking gear. Oh...way to cute. I had to buy something of course. Since the bike shorts happen to cost approximately what adult shorts cost, I opted for the Louis Garneau bike gloves. Delightful. She was riding in style today when she launched off of the seat onto the pavement. Zoot makes some really cute tri clothing for little kids. I might have to invest in that someday soon...possibly after I teach her to swim better.
The remainder of my evening consisted of what I thought was going to be an hour break from homework to put the kid to bed. Instead it ended up being a two hour spell of stubbornness about the taste and texture of asparagus. Help us all. After many, many, many, many tears, I finally returned to the room where a very exhausted and swollen eyed little girl smiled brightly at me and said (after finally tasting it again), "This is good." AHHH! At least she ate her greens right? So stubborn.
The best part of the day had to be when I was tucking her in bed, much much later than is the usual bed time and she quietly says, "I like it when you have these shiny things in your eyes...like stars....it's when you like me." :) Apparently they had disappeared with the asparagus incident, but they had come back very shortly afterward. What a great kid. She's perfect....even when she won't try the asparagus that she now "likes."
Back to the homework and preparing for more belongings to head south in a few weeks. Ever so slowly everything I own has migrated south. I like moving. I'm done rambling now. Hopefully I'll blog again soon. My creative genius is being sapped this quarter. Poor readers of mine. :(

I was half expecting you to delve into your experience at Costco when you "smelled" some horrible smell... Whoever smelt it dealt it, am I right or am I right? ;) hehe.
I've seen the little people gear at Fitness Fanatics. It's adorable. I saw one of the bikes and it almost made me wish I had a kid to buy it for.. That thought was fleeting. I'll just have to buy gear for Madi or convince my niece that she should do triathlons. She could start at what 6 or 7? :)
I meant "smelled". Ahhh! I hate typos!!
I know what the word "smelt" means, and it really should have nothing to do with your olfactory nerves. oh well.
Asparagus = tears. That sucks. I hope today is better.
Nice title for your blog:)
