Gratuity: is a payment made to certain service sector workers beyond the advertised price. Though by definition a tip is never legally required, and its amount is at the discretion of the person being served, in some circumstances failing to give an adequate tip when one is expected would be considered very miserly, a violation of etiquette, or unethical. -Wikipedia-
When gratuity is already taken from my check, I'm usually not pleased. Granted, if you are in a large group I understand that it may require more work, but when the work doesn't get done, then the
gratuity should not be mandatory. Can I get an uh-huh here? So back in April I went out to eat with a lovely bunch of people we'll call...my friends. The service was absolutely horrible. They didn't listen to what we wanted. The food was gross. At one point I could have sworn that the waitress was crying. Is this not true? At least one of you was there. I
did feel a little bit sorry for her at that point for being a bit rude, but if you have personal problems going on, please don't come out to the table to do your crying. I'm certainly not part of your personal life and therefore I don't have a listening ear for you while celebrating my friends' birthday party.

After signing the receipt, I actually felt better and laughed my way out of the restaurant. I can't imagine being on the other end of me. What a meanie.
Thus, the only tip I would give to those servers would be this: Don't wear boots like these, especially with a t-shirt dress in 99 degree weather with 80% humidity. (This was a tricky shot. The girl was staring at me, but I made her think I was taking a picture of my daughter. If trigirl82 were there I would have hid behind some clothing racks for sheer embarrassment, but we would have had a better shot.)
(Yeah, this picture has nothing to do with the restaurant we were at, but I just wanted other people to giggle at this with me. I have to keep myself entertained.)

"Hey look Mom! There's a hooker in Target!"... Moving on.
Terrible service, I concur. I recall her saying, "what can I get for the BiRtHdAy girl" WAY more than was necessary. It made me want to gag. And, I almost wrote in- Tip: Don't call someone Ma'am that could be under the age of 30..
But I didn't. Why? Because I'm the nice one in this life partner-esque relationship. That's right, it's true... Ok, I guess my hooker comment may prove otherwise...
Crap! ;-)
Ugly.
I don't like manditory anything. I would have complained for sure!
hehe, i forgot all about that....hmm, i usually don't sign my name where you can actually make it out.....oh well. That was really funny though...nice picture by the way, i must have missed that one on account that i slammed chantelle's hands in the door that day :( sad. And i still hate the obligatory tip...blah its not fair.
