Some of us have it. Some of us don't. I'm proud to say that my kid does. In fact, she has so much, that she was voted student of the quarter for the first quarter of school. Her school bases their student of the month off of a specified character trait. The first quarter was compassion.
The day came when she was to receive her award. She didn't know that she had gotten elected for it, but boysmile and I sat there, proud parents, of our little compassionate child. Then in front of 500+ kids they pulled her up (and us up) and presented her the certificate of award. Pictures were taken. Hands were clapping. It was quite a scene. They read a paragraph about why they chose her and how compassionate she was.
Then we go back and sit down with her and her classmates. She promptly leans over to the girl next to her and says, "SEE....I TOLD you I was going to get an award!"
Nice.
Compassion. Some of us have it. Some of us don't. And apparently, some of us have it only some of the time.

Well, I guess she told her! hahaha. That's funny. :-)
That's pretty cool. I wonder how she knew she was going to win it?
