Famous Neighbors

Paris Hilton moved in behind us.

The thing about apartments is that they can potentially be noisy. You hope that you get some nice, good, safe neighbors that will either smile at you in the morning and be courteous, or at the very least, ignore you completely and not make unnecessary noise.

We've had great neighbors being where we are. The people across from us were a super nice family that smiled and said hello every morning, and every evening the aroma of authentic Asian food wafted out of their apartment making me want to be even better friends with them. But one morning, I woke up, and they were gone. Vanished. I was even a little bit sad about it. The girl behind us was a great neighbor too. She went to school with my husband and she was nice, polite, and never made a peep. The guy across from her on the back is quiet and I rarely see him except sometimes in the morning on the way to school. The people on the other side of us are pretty good neighbors. Not too noisy and only sometimes the wafting of their marijuana comes in through our windows and bedroom door to which I say something like, "Don't they know I'm trying to grow a human here?" and shut the door. Other than that, the people that we have lived around have been great. The apartment we are in is surprisingly very quiet which is great.

Then yesterday....there was a ruckus. Moving men. Moving a bunch of stuff up our stairs, muttering to themselves in Spanish, angry, unfriendly moving men. Moving Paris Hilton in behind us.

Today was fine. I heard a little bit of banging around on the walls like someone was hanging pictures during the day and then nothing after that. Then tonight. Ugg.

Apparently Paris Hilton has a little tiny dog that yaps, continually, when left alone. I'm wondering if Paris Hilton works the night shift or is staying at her boyfriends house tonight because this thing has not stopped yapping for the last five hours since I've been home. FIVE HOURS! The longest we got it to stop was during dinner when BoySmile pounded on the wall and it stopped for probably 2 seconds and then resumed with a renewed vigor.

I will probably be making a journey to the office tomorrow to pay the rent...and perhaps talk about Paris Hilton's dog situation. I'm not sure I can take night after night of yappy dog.

Yuck. I hate Paris Hilton. I hate that there's photo of her on your blog. I hope that you write another blog soon so I don't have to see her anytime I come to this site.

I'm selfish. She's gross. The End.

Oh, and sorry for the bad neighbor. :-)
