3% Deficit

A little while ago (say 8 to 9 months ago) I got an e-mail from trigirl82 asking me if there is anything to the statement, "The pregnant brain." As in using the excuse that pregnancy is causing you to have deficits in the brain. I laughed and e-mailed her back, "No. There is nothing to 'the pregnant brain.' Just sounds like an excuse to me." I'm thinking of retracting that statement now and asking forgiveness of the people that I have made fun of. Here's just one reason why.

I have had a regular pattern of sleeping now, for the past week or so, of going to bed, tossing and turning for about an hour, finally dropping off into an exhausted uncomfortable sleep, only to wake up somewhere in the 2 a.m. hour, tossing and turning, exhausted, but unable to fall back to sleep. In short, it sucks. I'm a big fan of sleeping. Someone told me once that they were a big fan of mine because I took four naps a day...yes, four. (Not every day...and it was a few years ago when I was training for my first IM)

Last night, my caring husband suggested that I take some Tylenol Cold PM to get a good nights sleep before this baby comes sometime this week (fingers crossed). I mulled it over for a minute and then decided that it was a good idea. I crawled out of bed, went to the bathroom and down the entire dose of blue Tylenol PM. After I set the cup down, I turned the bottle and read it, "Tylenol Cold DAYTIME Formula." WTM?

Who makes daytime medicine blue?? Isn't blue supposed to be the nighttime medicine? So here I sit, it's in the 2 a.m. hour again. I slept horribly once again. The good news is that I don't have any sniffling, sneezing, or congestion. High-5 for that.

Was it my husband that was a fan of yours due to all of the naps? He loves naps...

It was your husband who said he was my fan. Naps are great.
