Wahoo's and other junk food.

I hurt.

Today I ran for the first time in....quite some time. I mean I guess I have done some running, but in the last month, I have probably done approximately 10 miles. Total. Yeah. I know what you are thinking. This is not good.

In between having both sets of relatives in town at different times, Kfed's graduation, appeasing the every whim of a 4-month-old who is not fond of sleeping much, 10 days of LA/Disneyland/Vegas eating In N' Out (Vege) Burger and Wahoo's Fish Taco, I have not done much running. Today I actually thought, "I'm not completely sure I can finish a marathon in Jan." Yes folks. That is the truth. I do kind of like trigirl82's suggestion of just walking it all together and then holding hands and skipping at the finish line, but Kfed informed me that if I walk it, he won't come to support. I can't blame him. I would want to spoon my own eyes out, much less make someone else come out and support me for doing that.

My longest run to date, you ask? Um...12 miles. Yep. A meager 12. And that was today.

I seem to be having a certain hip pain that shows up excruciatingly around mile 10 which causes an audible grunting noise to come out of me every step I take on my right side. I don't know what it is, but I'm not going to talk about it anymore because I'm driving Kfed crazy since I refuse to go see a doctor. I don't want someone to tell me that I shouldn't be running and make it a repeat of the Sunmart 50 miler that never was. Let's just hope the people running around me for 26.2 miles won't mind the agonizing wild bear sounds that come out of my mouth while I shuffle along beside them.

I'm pretty sure I need a new sport. Like snowshoeing or wakeboarding.

Umm ..............

Gutteral noises are fun. It allows people 50 yards ahead of you know that you're coming.

That said, go see the doctor.
