What better place?

We had to wear sports bras and shorts to our body composition lab. After our written test, some people left to go change into their sport attire. We were all sitting there chatting, when one of the girls comes rushing into the lab and says, "Where's the first aid kit? He's having a seizure!"

Great.

My teacher jumps into motion moving faster than I ever imagined she could. She was all business. It was good to see. I gained more respect for her after this. She grabs the first aid kit, AED, etc., and rushes to the room across the hall to where the guy was having a seizure. We all sat there in silence. Then she came back in and grabbed some wet towels. Apparently he was throwing up all over himself too. Poor guy. I don't envy him. Within 30-60 seconds this guy had at least 10 trained professionals helping him out. Everyone from EMT to cardiac rehab and PhDs assisting him. It couldn't have been a better place to have a seizure with all of the faculty EMT skills and 200 students trained in first aid and CPR.

This was the first time I'd heard my teacher swear too. It was a good day. I'm glad he's okay.
