Kids. They are so unpredictable what is going to come out of their mouths and when.
The other day my parents, my daughter, and I went out for breakfast for mother's day. As we were coming out of the eating establishment my daughter very loudly proclaims into the morning sunshine, "Plug your nose everyone! Plug your nose!" She repeats this over and over again possibly to get her point across, possibly because we weren't obeying her. I was half listening, half talking to my mom, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out why she was saying that.
Then as we were walking down the sidewalk, I see a man walking towards us with a cigarette in hand. My lovely daughter is standing there, plugging her nose, speaking loudly, "PLUG YOUR NOSE EVERYONE!!" as this man is walking towards us.
There was a moment of decision as to how I could react. I could be slightly embarrassed at my daughter's loud behavior, or I could just laugh and wonder what the world would be like if we all spoke our minds like that.
I chose the latter.
Needless to say, the man's wife let out a little chuckle as she passed by. If only we all spoke our minds without fear. The world would be a different place.
