That is me throwing up a little in my mouth.
I've spent my evening searching and searching for jobs. Finally after extensive searching from working as a fitness instructor to working for the Houston Texans, I started reading blogs about the Sunmart 50 mile endurance run. Yep, that's when I thew up a little bit in my mouth. Time to get some long runs in. That's for sure. Like, 45-47 mile long runs. One guy said that his longest run was 37 miles and he almost ended up dropping out of the race about three times because he was so tired. I definitely want to finish, I just think that 12 hours is a little too short. Does anyone else think this? I mean, can't they make it longer? Hmm... I also read about one runner who ended up having to run in the dark and said that they were so scared from all of the sounds in the bushes around them that their adrenaline was pumping and their heart rate was out of control. I don't want to run in the dark. That's for sure. If I'm in the dark, I'm finding the closest person to me and sticking to them no matter what their pace. I'm a little nervous all of the sudden.
I did acquire some fancy new trail shoes for my birthday from my husband which have been working fantastically for the 15 miles that I've had them out in the last two days.
Did you know this too? Twelve of the people who ran Sunmart also did the Dallas Marathon the next day and one of them still had a finishing time of just over three hours? WTM? I want to be like that. I want my calves to chafe when I walk because they are so huge. Perhaps some day. I'm afraid that the few months that I have here I'm not going to achieve a 50 miler followed by a marathon with chafing calves.
In additional news today: Lance Armstrong has come out of retirement. Interesting. I don't know what my opinion on that is except that I thought he was rumored to do Ironman Hawaii this year? Trigirl82 am I wrong on this?
In conclusion for today, if the Houston Texans hire me, I'll get autographed paraphernalia for everyone from their favorite Texan. (Who are they again?)

Umm, why do you have a picture of my bulging man legs on your blog?
That's just creepy Lindsay.
[I think I want to add the word "bulging" to the list... :-p]
That would be a cool job! I would become a Texan fan just for the convenience (of getting autographs). You don't want your legs to chafe. thats sick and uncomfortable!
